As GE Money withdraws its Everday Money cash back card to new applicants, American Express continues to offer a market-leading cash back rate on its Platinum Credit Card.
The Platinum Credit Card offers new applicants MoneyBack at 3% for the first three months. After the three month period, MoneyBack will be calculated at the following rates:
0.5% for aggregate amounts up to £3,500
1% for aggregate amounts from £3,501 to £10,000
1.5% for aggregate amounts in excess of £10,001
The standard APR for purchases for new Cardmembers is typical 14.9% APR variable.
Tom Allder, Director of Lending, American Express said: “American Express first launched a Cash Back Credit Card in 1998 and eight years on, remains committed to rewarding Cardmembers for their spending and offering highly competitive rewards to attract new customers. Our offer is clear and simple: no restrictions on where you spend, no spending cap or minimum threshold.”
